Need Help With OneTouchTrain for iPhone?
Installing OneTouchTrain
|
OneTouchTrain maintains a local database of the train schedules in the device. This database is empty when the app is first installed and so it must be initialized from our servers. The above screen is presented upon installation.
When you touch Get Schedules, the device will contact our servers and download the latest copy of the schedules. |
A successful download of the schedules results in a display of the above screen. It should be noted that the MTA changes the schedules infrequently, averaging maybe six times annually. When they change, we compile a new database and install it on our servers. Since there is no set schedule for these changes, the app has been engineered to check our servers for new schedules the first time you use it on any given day.
If there is no new schedule or the app was unable to contact our servers for any reason, it simply continues with the current local copy. |

Search
There may be times when an ad-hoc search of the schedules is required. The above screen allows you to do such a search.
